At Meyer Natural Foods, the foundation for the future rests firmly on sustainable business principles dating back to the purchase and establishment of the ranch in Helmville, Montana in 1990. Early on, management practices were designed to nourish and enhance the Ranch’s natural resources while respecting the needs of the environ- ment. Over time, Mother Nature rewarded our consistency and commitment with bounti- ful recognition. Once decimated native grasslands, forests, and meadows were brought back to a healthy state. Once scarce wildlife came back in abundance. A natural order was restored to the land through Ranch operations. Meyer Natural Foods is dedicated to maintaining these wholesome business principles exemplified in the early ranch operations as we continue to expand into national and international markets. 1990: Purchase and establishment of our Ranch in Helmville, Montana. 1992: Establishment of programs, genetics, and protocols on the ranch for the breeding and raising of Meyer Natural Angus cattle. Today, these guide- lines and protocols are implemented through 1,800 family ranchers and feeders in 30 states. 1996: Meyer Natural Angus corporation was formed to market our first Natural Angus beef products. By the year 2000, we had outgrown the available processing plant. We purchased a 60,000 square foot facility in Lincoln, Nebraska to greatly expand our horizons by producing specialty beef products distributed to Japan and cooked products sold through Club stores. 2003: We received our first national recognition when TGIF Restaurant Group launched their natural hamburger featuring Meyer Natural Angus. 2007: Laura’s Lean Beef Co. and the organic beef business of Coleman Natural Products. were acquired. 2009: Meyer Natural Foods corporation was formed to bring our multiple brands, products, processing, distribution, and marketing activities under common leadership. This year also saw the launch of our Chef-to-Chef line of cooked products using Meyer organic beef.
